I saw him almost everyday last year in school and he always had a smile on his beautiful face and a contagious laugh. Josh loved playing with him especially when they arrived early to the Sunshine Class. Josh asks about him often and we always remember Mackie with a smile on our faces. Sammy also had a learning disability, she was what they call a visual learner. She needed everything written down so she could read it or see it. She went thru 8 years of "help" at school--finally in high school she said "I don't need this anymore. I get better grades than half the class." So we stopped the extra help. I have gone to her school and offered them a donation for the programs they have to help such children and others. Thank you for being an inspiration. Your son is beautiful. Maybe Sammy is helping look after all the young ones we have lost. |

He does okay now, but has a reading comprehension problem, combined with short term memory issues that have made life difficult at times for him.
